Deutsche Bank has had dismissed two lawsuits filed by the city of Ravensburg, Germany, and a local utility seeking about 1 million ($1.5 million) over losses on interest-rate swaps, reports Bloomberg News.
Deutsche Bank adequately informed the investors who sued about the risks of the swaps and the contracts were valid, said Wolfgang Tresenreiter, a spokesman for the regional court in Ulm, Germany. Ravensburg and utility Abwasserzweckverband Mariatal had claimed the bank didn't disclose enough about the risks and the deals were invalid.
