Swiss private bank Julius Baer plans to market to U.K. investors a high-performing emerging markets bond fund, Wealth Bulletin reports.
The fund, domiciled in Luxembourg, has returned a total of 155% since launch in April 2000. It has outperformed its peers by 9.2% over the last five years. It is managed by Paul McNamara and Caroline Gorman of Augustus Asset Management which was spun off from Baer last year.
The marketing campaign is being handled in London by a newly-created Julius Baer Investment Products team. As well as wealthy individuals, it will be offered to insurers, investment banks and fund of fund groups.
