Australian broadcaster Seven Network will have its acquisition of a stake in West Australian Newspapers Holdings reviewed by the Australian antitrust regulator, reports Bloomberg News.
The informal merger review ``was foreshadowed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission some time ago,'' Sydney-based Seven said in a statement. ``Seven cooperating in the review doesn't indicate any intention to acquire further shares in West Australian Newspapers, which Seven regards as an important investment.''
