Bank of New York Mellon has bought a minority stake in International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDGC), a Nasdaq OMX Group unit, The Wall Street Journal reports. The two companies are seeking to create a transparent derivatives clearing platform.
BNY Mellon will provide its securities servicing products for margin and collateral management to IDGC. The terms of the deal and size of the stake have not been disclosed.
