Javelin Investment Management has launched the first U.S. Islamic ETF, Index Universe reports. Javelin Dow Jones Islamic Market International Index Fund has begun trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Shariah-compliant ETF will track an index of 100 companies outside the U.S. comprising of 23 countries and 18 trading currencies. The fund is expecting an expense ratio of 0.68%.
